Hi, I’m Hazel, the designer and maker behind Hazel Mairs Jewellery.
I’m a Glasgow School of Art graduate with over 20 years’ experience in jewellery design and making. After leaving my job to follow a lifelong passion, I now work from my home studio in the Scottish countryside.
My work is inspired by my surroundings, the colours, textures, and shifting light of the Scottish landscape, and translated into jewellery that is simple, wearable, and made to last. My designs have been award-winning, and every piece is handmade using traditional techniques and ethically sourced materials.
I work in small batches, taking care at every stage of the making process. I design jewellery for women who want well-made pieces they can wear everyday and rely on, whether for work, special occasions, or everyday life, rather than short-lived trends.

Sustainability
Sustainability is central to how I work and the decisions I make as a jeweller. From materials to making methods, I take care to reduce environmental impact and unnecessary waste.
I use ethically sourced metals and stones wherever possible, including 100% recycled metals, laboratory-grown diamonds, and locally sourced materials such as Scottish stones. Pieces are made in small batches, allowing me to work responsibly and avoid overproduction.
All packaging is recyclable, and every design is made with longevity in mind. This is jewellery created to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
